WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BRACES AND ALIGNERS?
Braces are a fixed system attached to the teeth for the entire duration of the treatment. Aligners are a set of clear, removable trays that need to be changed every 2 weeks. They are invisible, do not irritate the mucous membrane, and allow you to brush your teeth without restrictions.
WHAT TYPE OF BRACES DO YOU USE?
We work with ceramic, sapphire, and metal self-ligating braces. Ceramic braces are matched to the color of your enamel, while sapphire braces are completely transparent. Our orthodontist will choose the system that is both effective and aesthetically pleasing for you.
HOW MANY HOURS A DAY DO I NEED TO WEAR ALIGNERS?
To achieve the planned result, you need to wear them for 20–22 hours a day. They only work while on the teeth by applying constant, gentle pressure. Failing to follow this routine can significantly slow down or halt the treatment process.
HOW LONG DOES BRACES TREATMENT TAKE?
On average, 1.5 to 2.5 years. The exact timeline is always individual and depends on the complexity of the case. During the consultation, the orthodontist will create a clear treatment plan with an estimated duration for you.
ARE THERE INVISIBLE BRACES?
Yes, we offer two options for those who prioritize aesthetics: ceramic braces that match the enamel color, and completely transparent sapphire braces. For maximum invisibility, you should consider aligners — they can only be noticed if someone knows where to look and is standing very close.
IS IT PAINFUL TO WEAR BRACES OR ALIGNERS?
There is no sharp pain. In the first 3–7 days after getting braces or switching to a new aligner tray, you might feel some pressure and mild discomfort when chewing — this is a sign that the teeth have started moving in the right direction. These sensations usually disappear completely within a few days.
HOW DO I CARE FOR MY TEETH WITH BRACES?
Care requires more diligence: your oral hygiene routine will include special interdental brushes for the spaces under the wire, as well as a single-tuft brush. Combined with regular professional cleanings at the clinic, this is the key to maintaining healthy teeth throughout your entire treatment.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON'T WEAR A RETAINER AFTER TREATMENT?
Your teeth will begin to shift back to their previous positions. The bone tissue "remembers" their original placement. A retainer secures the final result — it is an essential part of the treatment, not just an optional add-on.
