WHEN ORAL SURGERY IS REQUIRED

Oral surgery is performed when a tooth cannot be restored or when specific procedures are necessary for further comprehensive treatment.
This may be:
- Extraction of severely damaged teeth
- Treatment of inflammation and complications
- Preparation for dental implantation
- Restoration of missing teeth
The doctor assesses each case individually to select the optimal treatment path — from extraction to complete functional restoration.

PROCESS

01

CONSULTATION AND DIAGNOSTICS

The dentist performs an examination and takes an X-ray or CT scan to assess the condition of the teeth and tissues and create an optimal treatment plan

02

ANESTHESIA

Anesthesia is carefully selected before the procedure. The intervention begins only after complete pain relief is achieved to ensure your comfort

03

GENTLE INTERVENTION

The dentist performs the procedure with delicate precision, ensuring minimal tissue trauma and a faster recovery process

04

AFTERCARE AND FOLLOW-UP

Following the procedure, the doctor provides detailed care recommendations and, if necessary, schedules a follow-up examination to monitor healing

Questions

Is tooth extraction painful?

No, the procedure itself is absolutely painless. We use modern, effective anesthesia that completely eliminates pain sensations. You will only feel touch and light pressure. Our goal is to relieve you of the cause of pain, not create a new one.

How long does the extraction site take to heal?

The healing process occurs in several stages. Initial gum healing lasts 7–14 days. Complete restoration of the bone tissue in the tooth socket is a longer process, taking 3 to 6 months. Following the doctor's recommendations is key to quick and proper healing.

What can/can't I do after an extraction?

To avoid complications, in the first few days, you should not consume hot food, rinse your mouth actively, exercise, or visit a sauna. It is recommended to apply ice, eat soft, cool food, and refrain from smoking and alcohol. Your doctor will provide you with complete printed instructions.

When should a tooth be extracted rather than treated?

Tooth extraction is always a last resort. We fight to save every tooth. Indications for extraction are only those conditions when saving the tooth is impossible: severe destruction, vertical root fracture, significant mobility due to periodontitis, or inability to perform root canal treatment.

Can a tooth be extracted if I have a cold or acute respiratory viral infection (ARVI)?

Scheduled extraction is best postponed. During illness, the body is weakened and fighting infection, and surgical intervention creates an additional load. An exception may be an acute condition requiring immediate intervention, but this decision is made individually by the doctor.
